Last night, we did a video shoot of our current incarnation. We have been performing in the Washington DC metro area since 2003 and various members have come and gone. Currently, we are a quintet.
We have a soprano, an alto, a tenor, and two baritones, and last night we recorded several pieces to video to highlight our live performances.
Everyone worked hard, sang their hearts out, and delivered the goods. And we will be sharing some of those results here in the next couple of weeks. However, none of it would have been possible without a good friend and colleague volunteering to run the tech.
Without lights, sound, and organization, the best performance sits alone in the dark, with no one listening. It is with gratitude that we raise a glass to Sean, our volunteer tech guru and all-around terrific person. Without his contribution, last night’s video shoot would have taken much longer and would not be nearly as good.
Check back in the next few weeks for some new videos that include old favorites, ancient languages, children’s songs, and carols from around the world.
