Logistics

Hi Folks. This page is for on-going details and logistics. I’ll add things here that you can reference whenever you need them.

Mileage compensation. Gigs that are 50+ miles outside our usual gigging area will get government mileage rate. In 2025, the mileage rate is .70 a mile.

Hotel compensation. When we get out of town gigs (traveling three or more hours – one way), I will work to get you a comped room, or a stipend to get your own room. This will follow government per diem rates as often as possible. Find out more info on government rates here: https://www.gsa.gov/travel.

Important Links

Here are all the links and files.

The Band App (you should all have this already, but it’s good to have a double.)

Tones Policies and Procedures document

The Tones rehearsal and gig details calendar (use this one for all gig information). All of our gig information will be in the Band App calendar. Please head there for all gig-specific logistics like address, on-site contact person, times, etc.

The Dropbox folder with audio and pdf files (This should have everything you need to start setting up your sheet music. I encourage you to work off lyric sheets rather than music sheets because there are a ton of verses for some of these, and the sheet music doesn’t have all the verses but the lyric sheets do. Also, as I mentioned before, I will be sending you sheet music for Riu Riu Chiu, Do You Hear What I Hear, and Carol of the Bells in the next week or two as well via snail mail.)

The receipt google form for 2023.

W-9 form If you haven’t gotten me a w-9, please do so (a digital version is best). If you move, please get me a new w-9 with your new information.

Also, please use one of the basic black choir-type folders to hold your music in performance.

Something like this one. Or see image below. (And if you’re using an iPad, please get a folder that looks like a sheet music folder like the mypad [see image below].)

Please set up your sheet music/lyrics sets (we have three, and there’s a document that lists them at the link above).

Find the Video for Sheet music notes here.

Our rehearsals will be sometime in mid-November (in 2023, it’s the week of November 13-16 with a demo recording on the 16th, so you’ll need to bring your costuming), so you’ll need to learn your parts on your own. The link above has midi files with your parts on them. Also, there’s a single sheet with the lyrics to a number of modern songs we sing but don’t have sheet music to (except Rudolph, 12 Days of Christmas, and Jingle Bells which should be included there as well). We sort of make up the ones we don’t have sheet music to as we go along, so you’ll have some fun improvising harmony parts.

Costuming

Here are some links you can look at for info. I do not require a specific brand. Red or green and looking Victorian/Dickensian is what I’m looking for.

Dress 1

Dress 2

I’m not saying you have to buy these specific dresses. These are ideas. Although, a previous member did buy dress one, and she said it just zipped up the back. Looked great!

Suit 1 (mostly, the gentlemen go for an ascot, a jaunty scarf, a vest, a jacket, and a top hat

Suit 2

Please let me know if you have questions.

Cheers!

Izolda
